Coaching Essentials

Coaching Skills Training for Church Leaders

Austin, Texas

Saturate Coaching Skills Training is for churches who already have a coaching structure but need to help their coaches and group leaders improve their coaching skills in order to support existing small groups.

This is a one-day workshop from 9AM – 3:30PM that strengthens coaching skills and helps participants learn how to gain traction in their leadership (missional communities, ministry teams, etc…) by asking instead of telling.

Coaching Essentials | What To Expect

Here’s what to expect in Austin
This training is for churches who want to better equip their leaders to focus on helping those they’re leading listen to the Holy Spirit. Jesus promised he would not leave his followers on their own, but would send His Spirit (John 14:18-24) who would be the empowering force for mission (Luke 24:49). If you are tired of telling leaders what to do, then this workshop is for you. Equipping your leaders to listen to the Spirit, and to guide others to do the same, is a key factor in helping them grow up into maturity. They won’t always have you with them, but they will always have the Holy Spirit.
Attendees can expect to learn how to:

  • Effectively support group leaders in listening to the Holy Spirit and creating self-directed actions and strategies
  • Guide group members in processes of self-discovery and Spirit-dependance
  • Learn to ask before telling
  • Learn to listen better and create a culture where people feel understood

Endorsements:

During coaching, I have felt myself molded and shaped by the Great Potter as my coach has gently guided me toward the gospel for myself and for others. Leading from the grace given to me and leading others to that grace has been a big theme.

Lead Pastor, Saturate Coaching Cohort

“I went in thinking this would be more strategy, etc. and while we are getting to that, rooted in theology, it has been hugely beneficial for myself and our team in forms of personal spiritual formation to lead in ministry.”

Lead pastor, coaching cohort member

“I’ve grown more as a leader in the last 12 months, than in all the other years that I’ve lead community groups. The coaching and training I have received has helped me feel less adrift and have a clearer understanding of what I should be doing as a community group leader.”
